WHY WE LIKE IT

Lucero is the neighborhood that saw the birth of our coffee roaster, and with much excitement, we decided to name our first blend after it. It’s made up of two South American origin coffees: one from Peru, from the San Martín region, and one from Brazil, from Cerrado Mineiro. After many trials in search of a super sweet flavor profile, we’ve found a combination we absolutely love.

The Brazil contributes chocolaty and vanilla tones, offering a characteristic and pleasant sweetness, like a dessert. The Peru completes the blend with a floral brightness and character that makes it well-rounded. It’s a coffee with structure and complexity, but at the same time, it’s very easy to drink and suits all tastes.

This coffee is perfect for drinking with milk, but it’s also an ideal choice for enjoying on its own, accompanying you during all kinds of moments.

HISTORY

Brazil

The Cerrado Mineiro region is a globally recognized coffee-producing origin known for its high-quality beans and is the first "Denomination of Origin" in Brazil, located in the northwest of the state of Minas Gerais. The region is defined by distinct seasons, with a hot and humid summer and a pleasantly dry winter, which is a strong characteristic of the area. Coffee plantations are grown in areas with altitudes ranging from 800 to 1,400 meters, resulting in high-quality coffees with a unique identity. We trust various local producers in the region, from whom we select the best coffee lots to add to our favorite blend.

Peru

This Peruvian coffee is harvested in community lots from several producers. They are part of the AltoMayo cooperative, founded in 2012 by 12 men and 3 women. The cooperative is known for its remarkable enthusiasm and ideologies that seek to develop effective cooperativism, distinguishing themselves from other organizations in the region.
