To access this level, it is necessary to have previously obtained the Intermediate level certificate and at least 3 months must have passed since then.

This course for advanced baristas covers all the content assessed in the Specialty Coffee Association 's Professional Certificate and also includes the tests corresponding to this international qualification.

Obtaining this certificate will allow you to access the course to become an Authorized SCA Trainer.

We carried out the course in Madrid, at Hola Coffee Academy (Link on Maps) . We place great importance on quality and personalized attention in our training, which is why the maximum number of attendees is three.

 


The course takes place over THREE DAYS: the first two days run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and the third day runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. On the afternoon of the third day, the exam will be administered for those who have chosen to pursue the SCA certificate.

In this course, you will learn to: We will explore and study more technical topics that are MORE CHALLENGING than those covered in other levels. These include adjusting the brewing process based on the bean (origin, variety, processing method, roast), the variables that affect the brew, as well as their analysis, measurement, and how all of this translates into flavor; water analysis and how it affects coffee brewing; we will work on the equipment, learning to identify and replace parts; we will analyze milk and coffee from a chemical perspective and how these elements translate into flavor; etc. Another important section is working with the machine, where professional competence and agility will be required, as well as impeccable latte art. Finally, topics related to the operation of a coffee shop will be studied, covering both service efficiency and business management.

Who is this course intended for? It is designed for baristas who have been working in the specialty coffee sector for some time, have demonstrated their intermediate-level skills and knowledge, and want to reach the highest level, which is the one awarded by this course and diploma. You must have extensive knowledge of the products (coffee, milk, water...), the equipment, the techniques, and the management of a coffee shop. - The quality of equipment and materials used, as well as consumables (specialty coffee, fresh milk, etc.).

- Ongoing professional development for instructors through courses, conferences, forums, etc.

** Cancellation Policy: When you purchase a place on a course, you will receive a confirmation email, and we will begin preparing the class. The number of places available to the public will be reduced by the same number as your reservation, and if the course is full, it will no longer be available for purchase. While we understand unforeseen circumstances such as illness or accidents, our refund policy will reflect the costs incurred in preparing the class and the fact that the place was not available to another buyer.

- A full refund will be issued if the course is canceled at least 21 days before it begins. The student may also be offered an alternative date if they prefer it to a refund. A 50% cancellation fee will be charged if the course is cancelled between 21 days and 48 hours before it is scheduled to take place. No refund will be given, nor will an alternative date be offered, if the student does not attend the course or cancels with less than 48 hours' notice. In the event of only one confirmed participant, the company reserves the right to cancel the course and offer a refund or alternative date.
