To access this level, it is necessary to have previously obtained the Intermediate level certificate and at least 3 months must have passed since then.

This course for advanced baristas covers all the content assessed in the Specialty Coffee Association 's Professional Certificate and also includes the tests corresponding to this international qualification.

Obtaining this certificate will allow you to access the course to become an Authorized SCA Trainer.

It's designed for baristas who have been working in the specialty coffee industry for some time, have certified their intermediate-level skills and knowledge, and want to reach the highest level, which is what this course and diploma offer. Extensive knowledge of products (coffee, milk, water, etc.), machinery, techniques, and coffee shop management is required.

More technical and HIGHER DEMANDING topics will be covered and studied than at other levels. These include the treatment of extraction based on the bean (origin, varietal, process, roasting); the variables that affect this extraction, as well as its analysis and measurement, and how all of this translates into flavor; water analysis and how it affects coffee making; work on machinery, learning to identify and replace parts; milk and coffee will be analyzed from a chemical perspective and how these elements translate into flavor; etc. Another important section is working with the machine, which will require professional competence and agility, as well as impeccable latte art. Finally, topics related to the operation of a coffee shop will be studied, both in terms of service efficiency and business management.

It takes place over three sessions, the first two from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and the third from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The exam is held in the afternoon of the third session for those who have chosen the option of obtaining the SCA certificate.

We carried out the course in Madrid, at Hola Coffee Academy (Link on Maps) . We place great importance on quality and personalized attention in our training, which is why the maximum number of attendees is three.
