This basic-level barista course covers all the content assessed in the Foundation certificate of the Specialty Coffee Association and also includes the corresponding tests for this international qualification.

The course takes place in Madrid, at Hola Coffee Academy (Link on Maps). We place great importance on quality and personalized attention in our training, so the number of attendees will be very limited.

It takes place in one day, from 10 am to 6 pm.

With this course, you will acquire knowledge and tools that will help you in your first job search as a barista in a specialty coffee shop.

In this course you will learn to

Throughout this interactive course, you will learn about the origin of coffee, how the species, its processing, and roasting affect the flavor, and you will learn to taste and recognize these differences. We will also cover everything you need to know to perform well in a coffee shop: machinery, grinding, espresso extraction, milk steaming, and the principles of latte art. Theory will always be linked with practice on professional machinery.

Who is this course for?

The Barista Skills Foundation course is ideal for those who want to start their barista career from scratch. It's also great for those with little knowledge who want to strengthen their understanding or for those who have worked in hospitality but haven't specialized in coffee.
