WHY WE LIKE IT
This coffee is one of the best Brazilians we have tried recently and we loved it from the first moment: it is clean and round. The stone fruit notes give it a very characteristic brightness, and it also has a very soft and elegant acidity of chocolate and almond. It comes to stay.
HISTORY
The producer Elen and her father, Laércio Lorencini, became interested in producing high-quality coffees and invested in production and machinery for their crops. Elen is an agronomic engineer and continually supervises and analyzes the processes to ensure maximum quality in the harvests.
The Cerrado Mineiro Region is a world-renowned high-quality coffee producing origin, the first "Denomination of Origin" in Brazil, located in the northwest of the state of Minas Gerais.
Having well-defined seasons, a hot and humid summer and a pleasantly dry winter, is a strong characteristic of the region. The coffee plantations are grown in areas with altitudes that vary between 800 and 1,300 meters, resulting in high-quality coffees with a unique identity.
The coffees are "Guaranteed Origin and Quality" by the Regulatory Council of the Cerrado Mineiro Region - DO
VARIETY AND PROCESS
This batch was processed by the natural method. Initial drying took place on the concrete patio. Drying continued in African beds until the coffee reached the ideal humidity.
The Catucaí 2SL variety arises from the natural crossing that occurred between the Icatú variety and the Catuaí variety in the town of San José del Valle del Río Negro, state of Rio de Janeiro.
It is a variety already established in the Minas Gerais region, of medium size, yellow fruit color and high productivity.
