Lucero is the neighbourhood that saw the opening of our coffee roastery and the name we have given to our first Blend. It is composed of two coffees of South American origin: a Peruvian from the Andean region of San Martín and a Brazilian from Cerrado Mineiro.
After many tests looking for a super sweet flavour profile, we have come up with a combination in which we find hints of marzipan and chocolate. Plus a mild grapefruit acidity that gives structure and complexity to the coffee.
All this makes it ideal to drink with milk, although on its own it is also a perfect coffee to accompany breakfast or to end a good meal.

STORY BEHIND THIS COFFEE
Fazenda Santa Tereza
Pedro has always sought the production of special coffees with an increasing quality, working to certify the farm in his own area in such a rich region. The producer always washes the coffees and separates the dry ones from the ripe ones to make the quality truer.
He acquired his farm in 2015, chosen because it was a good area for coffee and bought as a result of hard work. The challenges, it is worth remembering, were great because Pedro, until then, had worked only with white crops for 29 years and now witnesses the difficulties that high altitude areas create. Still, coffee is something to pay for.
The Cerrado Mineiro Region is a world-renowned producer of high quality coffee, the first "Denomination of Origin" in Brazil, located in the northwest of the state of Minas Gerais.
Having well-defined seasons, a hot and humid summer and a pleasantly dry winter, is a strong characteristic of the region. Coffee plantations are cultivated in areas with altitudes varying between 800 and 1,400 metres, resulting in high quality coffees with a unique identity.
Peru Cajamarca
This coffee from Peru is harvested from community lots of several producers. They are part of the AltoMayo cooperative, which was founded in 2012 as a proposal of 12 men and 3 women. They are characterised by a remarkable enthusiasm and ideologies that seek to develop effective cooperativism, differentiating themselves from other organisations in the area and eliminating dependence on the middleman.
