The already iconic and beloved OREA, in its recently released V4 version . Also with two variants to choose from: Fast or 4-in-1 . With the same capacity and body, but different bases.
Something that is always repeated in the development of the Orea is that every time a new version is launched, it is accompanied by great innovations in design.
This time, the changes are more than noticeable: the Orea V4 is a complete system that includes 4 different filtering methods and a promise of durability. The progress has been so great that the V5 may never arrive and the V4 may be the definitive version. We'll see :)
What's more, it has been awarded the prestigious European Product Design Award as a winner in the Household Utensils, Coffee and Tea category.
V4 uses a modular system that allows you to add or remove 4 different types of base. Each of these components provides a differential value and all have been rigorously tested and simplified, so that if an element has been incorporated it is because it is significantly different from the others and justified.
The 4-in-1 version includes 4 different backgrounds:
The Classic Flat - The V3 MK2's base for the V4, for equivalent performance and flavour profile. This bottom provides some restriction whilst still keeping the bed perfectly flat.
The Open - Same design as the Glass Series OPEN coffee maker but in the V4 plastic body, which will give you a different profile. This bottom portion will focus the flow centrally and produce a completely different flavor profile - great for exploring.
The Fast Flat - This design takes all the ideas that were explored in the Big Boy Brewer and incorporates them into the V4 system. A non-clog, and arguably the fastest design, it provides new options for those who want to explore the finest grind, strongest pour, or play with many types of paper.
The Apex - In addition to the 3 flat bottoms, each version comes with an APEX bottom, somewhere between conical and flat. The APEX works with conical papers such as V60/Cafec/etc, as long as you follow a folding guide. It completes the current system for each geometry, adding a conical coffee maker to the line.
Actually, you could say it's more than 4 coffee makers in one, depending on how you use it :)
On the other hand, the Flat version is designed for those looking for simplicity: The V4 with the most popular base
The V4 FAST flat base offers an excellent starting point for brewing coffee with the V4 system. It's fast, consistent, and designed to prevent clogs and blockages. It maximizes air and water flow, keeping the paper filter perfectly straight and in place. While paper filters can clog, this Orea won't.
As your curiosity or experience grows, you can purchase additional bases separately and unlock new brewing methods :)
