The V60 is an easy-to-use method for making coffee, which allows you to achieve a clean and delicate flavour. With it, the notes and character of the origin are perceived very clearly.
Its name derives from the design itself: the cone is V-shaped and has an angle of 60°.
The 60° angle allows water to flow through all parts of the coffee, resulting in an evenly extracted cup of coffee.
Thanks to the extended curved ribs inside the hand filter, the filter paper is kept away from the wall efficiently. It is suitable for users who prefer a clear profile with a light body without coffee residue in the final result.
The V60 is already (almost) a legend. Its origins date back to the 1980s, when Hario, a high-quality glass manufacturing company, began developing the first prototypes. In 2010, it gained a lot of fame due to the World Brewing Cup in London.
Even today, it remains popular due to its high standards, low cost and high efficiency. We always call it "the first love of baristas".

Característica 1 del V60: Forma cónica
La distintiva forma cónica del V60 permite que las capas de café molido sean más gruesas que en la superficie plana de un dripper tradicional con forma trapezoidal. Esta forma hace que el agua caliente fluya hacia el centro, permitiendo que permanezca más tiempo en contacto con el café y asegurando una correcta extracción de los sabores y compuestos aromáticos del café.
Característica 2 del V60: Estrías en espiral
Cuando el café se satura, las estrías altas no dificultan su expansión, y se crea una capa de aire entre el papel y la pared del dripper. Las estrías en espiral evitan que el papel y el dripper se adhieran entre sí, permitiendo que el aire fluya y que el café se expanda adecuadamente. Esto favorece una extracción más uniforme.
Característica 3 del V60: Un único orificio
El V60 cuenta con un único orificio grande en la base, a diferencia de los varios orificios pequeños que se encuentran en drippers tradicionales de forma trapezoidal. Esto permite que la punta del filtro de papel sobresalga por el orificio, facilitando que el agua caliente realice una extracción más similar a la de un filtro de tela, al no estar restringida por el dripper. Al variar la velocidad de vertido, puedes preparar el café con el perfil de sabor que prefieras, más intenso o más suave.
